COVID-19 Response

Taking responsibility. Acting with Integrity. Serving the Community.

A Message from Frank Goldman, B'nai B'rith Colorado President

Taking responsible action in this time of need

I write to request your generous support for an important COVID-19 relief initiative, which B’nai B’rith Colorado is spearheading to provide essential supplies to those who have been adversely impacted by the global health crisis and recent economic downturn.  This humanitarian aid project will deliver swift, direct assistance to affected individuals in two meaningful ways.

Food Drive

We are raising funds for the Food Bank of the Rockies, which will distribute food to children, seniors, and families who lack the necessary resources to sustain themselves during the crisis.  Every $1 dollar donated to the Food Drive provides 4 meals to those who are hungry.  B’nai B’rith Colorado is matching dollar for dollar all Food Drive donations up to $5,000 and is donating $5,000 directly to the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Food Pantry.

Your charitable donations are 100% tax deductible, and no goods or services will be provided in exchange for your contributions.

PPE Drive

We are collecting money to procure and donate personal protective equipment (“PPE”) to at-risk facilities and vulnerable communities.  B’nai B’rith Colorado is matching dollar for dollar all PPE Drive donations up to $10,000.  B’nai B’rith Colorado has already donated hundreds of reusable face shields to local Jewish senior facilities and nursing homes.  Our primary goal is to significantly increase the scope and size of our community outreach in order to provide critical supplies and indispensable humanitarian aid.

Your charitable donations are 100% tax deductible, and no goods or services will be provided in exchange for your contributions.

Due to the crisis, B’nai B’rith Colorado recently made the difficult and heartfelt decision to cancel all in-person community service events and programs through at least September 30, 2020, including our 24th Annual Leadville Cemetery Cleanup and the 5th Annual Denver Jewish Golf Tournament.  B’nai B’rith Colorado is instead focusing all of its current efforts on COVID-19 relief assistance.

B’nai B’rith Colorado has faithfully served Colorado, the greater Rocky Mountain region, and beyond since 1872, continuously providing emergency relief, helping the less fortunate, and being a driving force for good.  Now, more than ever, we call upon you to provide meaningful and life-saving supplies to those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On behalf of our Board of Directors, our membership, and the people we serve, we appreciate your thoughtful and heartfelt support.

The Shalom Park Family would like to extend our sincere appreciation to B’nai B’rith Colorado for their most generous donation of face shields.

During these most challenging and uncertain times, nursing homes have and continue to struggle with accessing Personal Protection Equipment in a timely manner.  This equipment is so critical to the safety of our residents and staff.

When were learned of B’nai B’rith’s desire to partner with Shalom Park, we were all delighted and relieved.  The face shields promptly arrived and were delivered to our caregivers who provide direct care and services to our residents.

Our caregivers have shared, “It is truly peace of mind and very comforting to us all to have the necessary supplies to protect ourselves and our residents.”

We thank you all so much and we look forward to strengthening our friendship with B’nai B’rith Colorado.

Wishing everyone health and peace.
